We’re thrilled to welcome you to the Montgomery Elementary Lion family—where every student roars with pride, purpose, and potential! 🦁 This page is your one-stop guide to help make enrollment easy and stress-free.

Whether you’re enrolling your child for the first time or transferring from another school, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

📝 Step 1: Register Online with HISD

Visit houstonisd.org/enroll

  • Create an account (if you don’t have one already)

  • Make sure to select the 2025–2026 academic school year

📍 Step 2: Visit Montgomery Elementary

Once you've registered online, come by our campus to complete school-specific forms and submit the following documents:

Required Documents:

  • 📄 Copy of student’s birth certificate

  • 💉 Copy of student’s immunization record

  • 🪪 Copy of parent/guardian’s driver's license

  • 🏠 Proof of Residency (one of the following):

    • Current electric, gas, or water bill showing residential service

    • Complete lease agreement (all pages) if leasing—will be verified with the landlord

📂 If Applicable, Please Also Provide:

  • 🔢 Copy of student’s social security card

  • Latest report card (for grades 1–5)

  • Withdrawal form (if enrolling 2+ weeks after the school year starts)

  • Gifted & Talented matrix (even if student did not qualify)

  • Documentation for LEP, ESL, 504, IAT, IEP, or Special Education

  • Certified divorce decree/custodial documents

  • Any private school testing or educational evaluations
